Good health involves more than physical wellbeing. Appropriate behavioral, psychological or learning development skills are also vitally important, especially for children and adolescents.
The Center for Human Development (CHD) is committed to using a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach to diagnose and treat children and adolescents who experience developmental, behavioral, and learning challenges. The broader mission of CHD encompasses
community outreach, research, and professional training.
The CHD evaluates and treats children who are showing evidence of, or who are at risk for the following development disorders:
Parents, teachers, school administrators, doctors and others can refer children with behavioral or development disorders. Each patient is evaluated by a team of experts that may include specialists in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, psychology, and
speech pathology. Detailed reports of evaluations are shared with families and provide a blueprint for intervention strategies.
Please note that the services listed above may not be provided at each Center for Human Development location.
