Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty.

Wayfinding

All visitors and patients to the main hospital should enter through one of the following entrances:

• North entrance (entrance 2) - Park in the North parking deck - identified as the Blue Deck
• South entrance (entrance 5) – Park in the South parking deck – identified as the Green Deck
• East entrance (entrance 3) – Park in the North parking deck – identified as the Blue Deck

Valet parking is available at all entrances.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

More families visit the Corewell Health Stuart H. Blanck Emergency - William Beaumont University Hospital than any other emergency center in Michigan. This incredible demand for Beaumont emergency care provided an opportunity to invest in a facility that would allow our team to advance support for patients and families even further.

The project to renovate and expand the Emergency Center concluded in February 2019. Improvements will make the new Emergency Center experience more private, more comfortable and more efficient, while maintaining extraordinary high-quality care.

A major teaching facility, Beaumont has 55 accredited residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows at Royal Oak. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on our faculty.
