Two experienced Beaumont Health leaders have been promoted to new roles with increased responsibility.
Melissa Foreman-Lovell, RN, DNP
Chief Nursing Officer, Beaumont, Troy
Melissa Foreman-Lovell, RN, DNP, has been appointed chief nursing officer for Beaumont, Troy. She joined Beaumont, Royal Oak in 2017 as associate chief nursing officer. In that role, she oversaw 21 nursing units.
Prior to joining Beaumont, Foreman-Lovell served in senior nurse leadership roles at Henry Ford Health System. She earned her doctorate in nursing practice at University of South Alabama and her master’s degrees in nursing and business administration at Madonna University.
Brad Lukas, RN, MSN
Chief Nursing Officer, Beaumont Grosse Pointe
Brad Lukas, RN, MSN, has been appointed chief nursing officer for Beaumont, Grosse Pointe. Lukas has served as Beaumont, Troy’s administrator for clinical services since 2017. He began his Beaumont career as a patient transporter in 2008 and has been promoted to other roles several times.
An alumnus of Leadership Macomb, Lukas received the Daisy Leadership Award and was featured in DBusiness magazine’s “30 in Their Thirties” and Oakland County Executive’s “Elite 40 under 40.” Lukas earned his Master of Science in nursing at Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, and his Master of Business Administration from Baker College.
“We have so many talented nurses at Beaumont Health. Melissa and Brad are experienced leaders who are ready to take on additional responsibility. I am eager to support them in their new roles leading our nursing teams at Troy and Grosse Pointe,” Beaumont Chief Nursing Officer Susan Grant said.

It’s a point of pride for me and Beaumont Health. Melissa and Brad are seasoned leaders who will serve our Troy and Grosse Pointe hospitals well.”

Beaumont Health has a total net revenue of $4.7 billion and consists of eight hospitals with 3,429 beds, 145 outpatient sites, nearly 5,000 physicians, 38,000 employees and 3,500 volunteers. In 2018, Beaumont Health had about 178,000 inpatient discharges, 18,000 births and 573,000 emergency visits.
