Visiting Hours

Family & partners in care will experience

  • 24/7 access to be with your loved one

  • tobacco-free campuses, including the use of electronic cigarettes

Special exceptions

  • under age 16 should be accompanied by an adult
  • you should not visit if you have a contagious illness, such as a cold
  • evening and overnight hour access may be limited to specific entrances (see chart below)
  • some areas such as mental health, surgical services, critical care, emergency center, and women's and children's may have different guidelines

Tips for overnight stays

  • you are welcome to spend the night in the patient’s room if space allows
  • you may stay/rest in the family lounge area with periodic checks on the patient
  • plan ahead when possible and bring your own blanket, pillow, toiletries, and speak to your loved one's nursing staff to ensure communication and collaboration

Restricted items

  • no firearms, alcohol, or drugs
  • no matches, candles, and other open-flame devices
  • no electrical appliances and cooking utensils
  • no personal chairs and cots
  • no blow up mattresses
