Join us for Back on Track, a free class to help you prepare for your spine surgery at Beaumont hospitals in Royal Oak, Troy or Grosse Pointe.
A discussion led by Beaumont spine care professionals will answer common questions and address your concerns before you have surgery. They will cover pre- and post-operative care, as well as at-home recovery practices.
A friend or family member may attend the class with you, but this is not required. You will take home educational material to help you prepare for your surgery.
Topics covered will include:
- parking/registration
- pre-op and anesthesia
- post-op and post-anesthesia care unit
- admission to inpatient floor
- post-op expectations
- pain management
- average length of stay
- discharge planning
- physical therapy
Attend In Person
Troy - The Back on Track course is offered the first
Tuesday of each month from 9 -11:30 a.m. and every Tuesday from 3:30 -
5:30 p.m. Classes take place in the 6 West Orthopedic Classroom at
Beaumont, Troy.
Royal Oak - Offered the first and third Thursday of each month and on the second and fourth Tuesday from 1 - 2:30 p.m. in the Allison Conference Room, second floor in the Neuroscience Center.
Grosse Pointe - Classes are held at Beaumont, Grosse Pointe Mondays at 3 p.m. on the 3rd floor (3SE).
