Speech and Language Pathology

Beaumont's Speech and Language Pathology program is the most comprehensive in Michigan and one of the largest in the United States.

We provide services to adults, adolescents and children who have experienced a loss of communication. 

The department has over 60 speech and language pathologists who work in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation and conduct comprehensive evaluations and set up treatment plans to help individuals achieve their communication goals. 

Our services are available at various Beaumont hospitals and several outpatient programs.

Adult Services

Our programs deal with communication disorders resulting from a brain injury, voice problems, swallowing disorders or oral motor dysfunction.
