Corewell Health is the new name for Beaumont.

Arts for the Spirit

arts-logo

Founded in 2006, the Arts for the Spirit program seeks to contribute to an environment that promotes healing and comfort for patients, families and team members through various art forms in Beaumont's hospitals. Providing a restorative atmosphere renews the human spirit and extends the Beaumont Health mission to improve health, instill humanity and inspire hope.

THE HEALING POWER OF ART AND MUSIC

Art Galleries

Arts for the Spirit presents local and nationally recognized artists in rotating art exhibitions at our hospitals. Galleries feature artwork that is diverse in medium, style and subject to provide the Beaumont Health community with a quality fine art experience. Additionally, several studies have shown the benefits and positive health outcomes in patients that have had exposure to visual arts. One study evaluated the effects of visual art in the rooms of post-operative patients finding patients healed faster, required less pain medication and had fewer post-operative complications when compared to post-operative patients without visual art in their rooms.

Musical Performances

Through partnerships with local and nationally renowned musicians, the healing power of music is presented in performances at our hospitals and senior living facilities. As a result of Beaumont Health's partnership with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO), patients, families and team members are able to experience performances by members of the DSO at our facilities year-round.
