Beaumont Health’s orthopedics and sports medicine program is expanding with the opening of a new, dedicated Sports and Orthopedic Injury Clinic in Canton.
“This new clinic underscores Beaumont’s commitment to our orthopedic and sports medicine programs, and to the western Wayne community,” said Jeffrey Fischgrund, M.D., chairman, Orthopedics, Beaumont Health. “Patients young and old can walk in and see a physician the same day they experience the injury so they can start recovering right away. Whether it’s a sports injury or a fall, the Canton clinic will surely be a valuable resource that will serve people and the community for years to come."
A physician will be available to provide care, whether it is a walk-in visit or an appointment.

“Our orthopedic surgeons diagnose and treat the most complex orthopedic conditions in both adult and pediatric patients,” added Dr. Fischgrund. “The new clinic will allow us to continue to provide high-quality care while serving the community more quickly.”
Throughout Metro Detroit, Beaumont has more than 150 board-certified orthopedic surgeons. They treat cases in every specialty and subspecialty of orthopedics, including minimally invasive hip and knee reconstruction, orthopedic oncology, trauma, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, shoulder problems and advanced spine surgery.
The Canton clinic is the first stop for those with an orthopedic injury, offering everything in one location to start the recovery process. The clinic is located across the hall from Beaumont Emergency Center, Canton so patients with more severe injuries and medical assistance will still have access to the care they need.

The clinic is part of the Specialty Clinic at Beaumont Medical Center, Canton, 7300 N. Canton Center Road. It will be open seven days a week.
