Neurological Rehabilitation

Beaumont's Neurological Rehabilitation Program provides personalized treatment to optimize the individual's ability to safely participate in activities of daily living.

Beaumont's Neurological Rehabilitation Program offers an interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to working with individuals who have neurological disorders. The interdisciplinary team can consist of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, and a Case Coordinator. Training for assisting the patient is available for family/care partners. The frequency and duration of treatment is determined by medical necessity based on the patient's condition.


Specialized Programs / Support Groups

Cane and Able is held monthly (at Beaumont Hospital, Troy, on the Ground Floor), Parkinson's Rehabilitation, Vision Rehabilitation, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Fall Prevention, Specialized Speech and Comprehensive Speech are also available.

Skills and Licensure of Clinicians

Occupational Therapists are registered by the State of Michigan, Physical Therapists are licensed by the State of Michigan, Neuro-development Treatment Certification requires advanced educational courses, Speech-Language Pathologists have a master's degree with a certificate of clinical competency.

Coverage from most major insurance companies is accepted, but therapy coverage depends on individual insurance benefits. Discount programs are available to those who qualify. A prescription is required by a physician or a physician's assistant.
