If you have varicose veins, you may be experiencing uncomfortable, unsightly and sometimes serious symptoms. Whether it's aching, fatigue, itching, swelling or restlessness, vein ablation services (including minimally invasive laser vein removal) can help relieve those issues affecting your everyday routine.
The Beaumont Vein Center in Sterling Heights was the first in Michigan to earn accreditation for both diagnosis and treatment from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. This recognition means the Vein Center’s processes and procedures have been carefully evaluated by nationally recognized vein experts who treat and manage superficial venous disorders.
“This is an important distinction for which we worked hard and are extremely proud,” says center director and founder, Michael Bischoff, M.D., a board-certified diagnostic and interventional radiologist for Beaumont Hospital, Troy who works exclusively with veins. “We want our patients to look and feel better and we’re pleased to offer expertise and exceptional quality of care, otherwise unprecedented in the state of Michigan.”
The Beaumont Vein Center performs the following varicose vein treatments:
- saphenous ablation
- perforating vein ablation
- ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy
Spider vein treatments include:
- dermal skin laser
Other services include:
- laser hair removal provided by a licensed esthetician
Dr. Bischoff is one of the few physicians in the area who work strictly with veins. He treats venous disease exclusively, seeing 3,000 patients annually and performing 1,800 procedures per year.
“Most do it as a very small part of their practice,” he says. “I diagnose and treat venous disease every day and personally perform all of the procedures on my patients.”
The Vein Center is conveniently located directly across the street from Beaumont Hospital, Troy, on the east side of Dequindre in Sterling Heights.
A physician referral is not required unless it is specified by your insurance carrier.
