Coronavirus / COVID-19 Updates: What to Know

What We Are Doing to Protect Patients

Beaumont is leading the way through the coronavirus pandemic, caring for more COVID-19 patients in Michigan than any other health system. Now we're leading the way out, with the expertise and experience to keep our patients, families and staff safe. While we expect to care for COVID-19 patients in designated areas of our hospitals for some time, we've taken extra steps to provide you the health care services you need in a safe environment.

Coronavirus FAQs

Beaumont continues to be the safe and clean health system with the same compassionate people and high-quality services you have always relied upon. All of Beaumont’s hospitals are safe and remain open to all patients needing health care including emergency visits, testing and surgery. Patients should continue to go to any Beaumont Emergency Department for medical issues that need urgent attention.

Learn More

Admission to the hospital is determined based on a patient’s symptoms, not a positive or negative COVID-19 test.

If a patient is sent home after being evaluated at one of our emergency centers, they are given information on treating their condition at home and when to contact or return to the emergency center if they experience worsening symptoms.

For some patients, COVID-19 is a serious illness that can become more intense and even deadly in a matter of days. Some patients have mild symptoms on one day and then have much more serious, life-threatening symptoms several days later. Patients should immediately return to an emergency center or call 911 if they experience worsening or life-threatening symptoms.
