Beaumont's Center for Human Development provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the tutoring of children with learning disabilities.
In existence for 35 years, the learning disabilities tutoring program
is designed to address the specific needs of individuals with concerns
such as learning and attention disorders, organizational difficulties or
anything else that might affect a person's ability to learn in
traditional ways.
Instruction is provided by experienced, caring, well-trained
professionals who strive to create a supportive, success-oriented
learning experience for each student. Using an individualized,
multi-disciplinary approach to learning, our tutors assist each student
in the identification of personal learning styles. Our tutors then
introduce effective academic and performance strategies designed to
strengthen or by-pass learning weaknesses and to maximize a student's
academic potential and performance.
To ensure a positive, therapeutic learning experience, each student
is assigned his or her own tutor who provides personalized private
instruction.

Instruction is available in:

Instruction takes place in 45 minute sessions either once or twice each week.
