The Health Insurance Marketplace, also called an insurance exchange, is a way to purchase health insurance. It’s for both people without health insurance and those looking for a new plan. The Marketplace allows you to apply for health coverage and compare options and costs.

  • free, individual appointments with a Certified Application Counselor at the location of your choice
    • available at all Beaumont hospitals
  • certified counselors are available to answer questions and assist you by phone
  • email communication to help answer questions and schedule appointments
  • evening and weekend appointments options
  • interpretive services are available upon request

Documents needed

  • picture identification
  • Social Security numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants) of everyone in household that needs coverage
  • employer and income information for every member of your household who needs insurance coverage (for example, pay stubs or (W-2) wage and tax statements
  • policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household
