Corewell Health William Beaumont University Kidney & Hypertension Center focuses on the diagnosis and therapy of people with acute and chronic kidney diseases, as well as difficult to control high blood pressure, under the care of experienced nephrologists and nurses.

The Kidney Clinic includes the evaluation of:

• Decreased kidney function
• Protein and/or blood in the urine
• Electrolyte abnormalities in the blood, such as potassium, magnesium, and
• calcium
• Edema (swelling) due to kidney disease
• Cystic diseases of the kidney
• Kidney replacement therapies, such as hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
• Apheresis services for both renal and nonrenal diseases
• Metabolic bone disease due to chronic kidney disease
• Anemia due to chronic kidney disease

The Complicated Hypertension Clinic focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of severe or difficult-to-control high blood pressure, which is a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes and chronic kidney disease.
