Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic consists of three specialties. Gastroenterology, Liver Center and Hepatitis C clinic.

Patients with chronic liver disease are managed through the Liver Diseases Clinic. Patients are cared for by experienced hepatologists and nurses to help manage any liver disease secondary to: Viral hepatitis, NASH, Alcoholic cirrhosis, Autoimmune hepatitis, Cryptogenic cirrhosis, Primary sclerosing cholangitis, Primary biliary cirrhosis, Polycystic liver disease, Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, Hemochromatosis, Budd-Chiari syndrome and Liver cancer.

Our clinic offers the latest therapies available for liver disease, including the most advanced treatments for hepatitis C. We facilitate all aspects of care, from insurance approvals to treatment monitoring and completion, to make the process as easy on our patients as possible.

The Liver Diseases Clinic offers the latest in FibroScan® technology right in the office to help in early diagnosis and treatment of liver disease, without needing liver biopsy or other invasive testing.

For hepatitis C treatment, specific treatment will be determined by your physician based on:

• your age, overall health, and medical history
• extent of the disease
• your tolerance for specific medications, procedures, or therapies
• expectations for the course of the disease
• your opinion or preference
