Learn new tips to keep your kids safe from harm
Beaumont Hospital, Wayne, 33155 Annapolis St., is hosting its third annual “Family Safety Awareness Day” to educate the community about how to stay safe in their homes, communities and beyond.
The event will take place 2 - 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1.
Activities and demonstrations include:
- ambulance tour
- child identification kits
- driving simulator
- fire safety obstacle course
- gun safety
- helicopter tour
- smokehouse
- shooting simulator
Free bicycle helmets will be available from 2 - 4 p.m. for those who complete the safety stations - while supplies last.

- K9 units
- LifeFlight of Michigan
- Michigan Search and Rescue
- local police departments
- U.S. Customs and Border Protection
“We want to help people to learn how to keep themselves and their families safe. Families are invited to our free event to get to know our first responders and what community resources are there for them,” said Adrienne Gall, Emergency Department specialist, Beaumont, Wayne.
