New and expectant parents are invited to participate in a Beaumont Health spring tradition by attending one of two local baby fairs, providing educational opportunities via a selection of mini parenting classes and vendor exhibits.
Sponsored by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the fairs take place at Beaumont Hospital, Troy, 44201 Dequindre Road 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 22 and Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, 3601 W. Thirteen Mile Road,11 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 29.
Car seat safety checks will also be offered at the Troy event from 12 to 3 p.m.
Visitors to both fairs will be treated to refreshments, door prizes and a collection of parent and baby vendor displays.
Mini class topics include “Relief of Choking for Infants and Children,” “Baby
Basics for Dads and Moms,” “Comfort Measures for Labor,” “Infant Massage” and “Breastfeeding Basics.”
Mini classes will be offered every 30 minutes from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
The Beaumont Baby Fairs are free and open to the public.
