Attend Beaumont’s first ‘Healthy Farmington-Farmington Hills Coalition’ meeting June 11

Beaumont’s Healthy Communities coalitions work to change the culture of health throughout Metro Detroit. The program recently arrived in Farmington and Farmington Hills. If you want to take an active role in the movement toward healthy lifestyles here, join this coalition, which includes diverse representatives to improve community health for all.

The first meeting of Beaumont’s Healthy Farmington-Farmington Hills Coalition will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, at C.A.R.E.S. of Farmington Hills, 27835 Shiawassee Road, just north of Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills. Future meetings will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at C.A.R.E.S. Light refreshments available.

The first meeting’s agenda includes:

  • mapping assets
  • finding strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
  • reviewing strategic planning, developing goals and objectives, forming action teams
  • studying examples from other Beaumont Healthy Communities
  • forming next steps
