We strongly encourage paying your bill on your myBeaumontChart account. If you need assistance with your myBeaumontChart account please visit the Frequently Asked Questions or contact customer support.

 

You can also make payments by phone, using Beaumont Health’s IVR system. Call 248-577-9205 and use Prompt 1. Payments can also be mailed to P.O. Box: 74007695, Chicago IL, 60674-7695.

Beaumont offers a 12-month payment plan for patient balances that are not in collections. The lowest monthly payment is $25 if it falls within the 12-month guidelines. We also offer interest-free payment plans up to 60 months thru our partner Commerce Bank. For more information call us at 800-582-1101.

We do not accept Care Credit at this time. We do accept payments in the form of debit, credit, check, e-check, money orders, HSA and FSA. You can also visit any of the main hospital locations to make a cash payment to the cashier’s office. We offer Commerce Bank as an option for extended payment plans. Please contact Customer Service at 800-582-1101 to request additional information.

Please contact the Pre-Services Department at 844-247-7423 to determine what insurance is accepted at Beaumont Health. The Pre-Services Department can also provide an estimate for your upcoming service.

Along with receiving a bill for the facility and professional charges, depending on the service provided, you may receive additional bills from our third-party entities: WellStreet, Team Health, CRNA, Northstar, Botsford Medical Imaging, Drs. Harris, Birkhill and Associates - Radiology Specialists. If you have questions regarding a bill that you received, we recommend contacting the phone number on the bill directly.

Coordination of benefits (COB) determines which insurance plan has the primary payment responsibility and the extent to which the other plans will contribute when an individual is covered by more than one plan.

 

This must be updated with the patient’s insurance company before the insurance makes a payment. If the patient does not update their COB with insurance, the insurance company will deny the claim and the patient will be billed for the full amount. Once the COB is updated, we are able to rebill the insurance.

A copayment is a fixed amount for a covered service that is paid by the patient to the facility for services rendered. Coinsurance is the percentage of costs for a covered health care service, after you have paid your deductible. The deductible is the amount the patient pays for covered health care services before their insurance plan will pay. Please contact your insurance company directly if you would like to dispute a copayment, coinsurance or deductible amount listed on your statement.

A payment plan must be established, and the monthly payments must be paid by the due date each month. When an account is not on an established payment plan, the account is subject to collections if it is not paid before the end of the billing cycle.

Emergency room charges are based on the nursing assessment and are generated into a point system to determine the level of severity. A level 5 emergency room charge is the most severe encounter. The charge amount is determined by the services that were rendered to the patient, not the amount of time that the patient was in the emergency department.

In most cases, the estimate includes the facility and professional charges that are based on the service or procedure performed, specific to your insurance policy. Your actual charge may differ, depending on whether additional services are performed, if your medical condition changes or if complications occur. The estimate does not ensure that the service is a covered benefit of your insurance plan.
