MEMORIALS AND TRIBUTES

Honoring a family member, friend, colleague, physician, nurse or another caregiver with a gift is a touching way to pay tribute to that individual. Call 947-522-0100 or make a contribution to a program or service that is important to the person being remembered or honored. We will send an acknowledgement to the honoree or their family members, informing them of the gift (Gift amount will not be shared.).

Would you like to have a loved one remembered with contributions to a Beaumont program or service in lieu of flowers? Please call our office to arrange for memorial envelopes.

PLANNED GIVING

Long-term gift planning can have financial and tax advantages and many of our donors accomplish their charitable goals with gifts from their estate plans. Charitable gift annuities, bequest and gifts of life insurance are just a few ways that you can make a big impact on our future.

INSPIRATIONAL GIVING

Transformational gifts change the landscape of care available in our communities. New buildings, technologies and services are made possible with major gifts from donors with uncommon abilities to make an immeasurable difference in the lives of others. Read about the inspirational gifts at work throughout Beaumont.

Additional Ways to Give

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees.

Multiyear Pledges

Pledges enable a donor to plan a personal giving program that is both convenient and tax-wise. A pledge may enable a donor to consider a more significant gift than would have otherwise been possible. Talk to a gift officer about how you can structure a pledge, creating ongoing support for a program or service that you care about.

Endowments

Scholarships, children’s programs and services and annual lectures are just a few examples of how endowments support our mission. Once established, an endowed fund is a dependable and perpetual source of support, since the principal is invested and only a portion of the earnings is spent annually. Contact a member of our staff for information on how you can establish an endowment.

Gifts in Kind

From auction items for fundraising events to new supplies for our art therapy programs, alternatives to monetary gifts that support Beaumont programs and services are appreciated.

Securities

You can support the vital services of Beaumont with a gift of securities, including stocks or mutual funds, and receive important tax benefits. For more information, please contact the foundation office.

Securities may be delivered electronically from your brokerage account to the Beaumont Foundation’s custody account at (Note: Oakwood’s was State Street Bank & Trust Co.) by making a “DTC Free Delivery.” The mean market value on the date of the transfer will determine the value of the gift for tax purposes.

IRA Charitable Rollover

The IRA Charitable Rollover law is now permanent and allows individuals 70½ or older to give up to $100,000, indexed for inflation, directly from their IRA to one or more qualified charities without paying federal income tax on the withdrawal.

To make a gift to Beaumont from your IRA, contact your IRA plan administrator and request a direct qualified charitable distribution from the IRA account to the Beaumont Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID).
